All the way from Chengdu, I broke into Jiuzhai Blue Water, and rubbed the fairy tales of colorful forests and cascading waterfalls into my eyes. Even when I returned home, I was wrapped in fireworks from Sichuan Main Temple. This blue trip in western Sichuan is enough for me to recite the whole autumn.

Your journey begins as you depart from Chengdu and travel northwest toward the stunning highland landscapes of Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture. Along the way, you will pass through Maoxian, a county known for its rich Qiang culture and picturesque valleys. A stop will be made at Diexi Lakes, a series of beautiful barrier lakes formed by a historic earthquake, offering breathtaking views of turquoise waters nestled among towering mountains. Continuing onward, you will visit Songpan Ancient Town, a well-preserved frontier town with a history dating back to the Tang Dynasty, where you can explore its ancient city walls and traditional architecture. Finally, you will arrive at Jiuzhaigou Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its crystal-clear lakes, terraced waterfalls, and vibrant autumn colors. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in, with the remainder of the day free to rest and prepare for your exploration of this natural wonder.
Today's journey takes you from the Chengdu Plain (approximately 500 meters above sea level) into the breathtaking high-altitude region of Jiuzhaigou (around 2,000–3,100 meters). The drive follows winding mountainous roads, offering ever-changing landscapes—from lush farmland to deep valleys and snowy peaks. Along the way, there will be excellent opportunities to stop and capture the dramatic scenery with your camera. Upon arrival in Jiuzhaigou, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in, where you can begin to unwind and acclimate to the mountain environment.

You will travel through the Y-shaped valley by shuttle bus and on foot, visiting the three main branches: the stunning Rize Valley, the towering Zechawa Valley, and the scenic Shuzheng Valley.
